Synchronized skating is growing in the greater Seattle area. Highland Skating Club currently has members on The Highlanders Beginner Synchronized Skating Team and on the Pre-Juvenile, Open-Juvenile, and Adult teams of the Washington Ice Emeralds.
The Highlanders were formed in 2013 as a Pre-Juvenile team. In their inaugural year the 8 member team competed at the 2014 Midwest/Pacific Synchronized Sectionals where they placed 6th. The team was comprised of 13 members in 2014 and competed locally. Currently the team is a beginner team which will be competing at the following local competitions: Blades on Ice in September 2015, Rising Stars in March 2016, and Ice Fest in June 2016. Additionally The Highlanders will be performing in Highland Ice Arena's annual June Show in June. New members are welcome throughout the year.
